Driver Assistance: The intelligent aid to optimise parking.

The Parking Assistant currently being tested in the BMW X5 prototype helps execute elegant parking manoeuvres. This advanced creation uses sensors to estimate if a parking space is big enough for the test car. When one is found, the driver selects reverse gear, lets go of the wheel and operates the accelerator and brake. The innovative assistance system steers the car until it is in the parking space.
